Pappy Dog premiered it in North Hollywood on Sunday night.

I enjoyed the film greatly-- a real pleasure seeing GT Gaje and others in action.

The party was fun too:  An Angelina Joile lookalike with fire sticks and some stellar Mexican pro-wrestlers.

I ran into Pappy Dog at the Filipino Festival in San Pedro on Sunday and he had DVDs of KMTS for sale.  Check out www.bloodsport.com and tell them that Crafty Dog sent you!

Thanks Crafty,

We will see you on Saturday......

Kali Means to Scrape is out!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you guys enjoy this documentary. Ron Gabriel and I put 2 years into this thing. Also, it must be said that I am very proud to say there is all original music by Deploi, Dave Rothburgh, Helios Jive and some Guitar playing from myself. I think we may be able to boast the first hip hop Kali anthem.

This review says it all for me:

Review:
This DVD takes you on a journey into the heart of stick fighting, Dog Brother Nick "Pappy Dog" Papadakis captures the past and present Kali culture in the Philippines with an intimacy like no other Kali film has to date. With quality cinematography and production, ?Kali means to scrape? allows the viewer, whether an avid practitioner or virgin of the art, to become inspired. ?Kali Means to Scrape? was originally shown to me, with pride, by Guro Dan Inosanto. Enough said!

p.s. Saw a clip from Sonny's doc. Looks great can't wait to get it
