Title: has anyone trained with the gi in stick fighting?

just out of curiosity, i was interested to know if anyone trained with the
gi while stick fighting and if that cahnged the dynamic of the fight much?
also has anyone used a cane, it would seem that the crook of the cane could be used for disarms or sweeps.  any thoughts?
