Dog Brother Fight Shorts..Question to those that have them

I was going to buy a pair but I was wondering if they are way to short or do the ride below the knee with free room and can the takae a beating and not rip durring the grapple?

I wear mine when I'm doing no-gi training.  They can handle a beating but they are a bit 'short', I wear lycra running shorts underneath them.
