i'm finally thankful for being able to treat my first patient in a new clinic for Eisenhower Medical Center. starting from scratch, we built the four treatment room clinic, plus two monoplace Hyperbaric Chamber Room from the ground up. so many obstacles i thought we were never gonna open. to top it off State inspectors kept delaying final walk through. well. . . up and running, and i do mean running. from 0 patients to 16 + daily census. what a relief.

Today I have two thing s which I am grateful. First my wife just found a great job after a two month lay off. Second I just spent a wonderful day with my family after playing hookie from work. We went shopping at Toys-R-Us for my son he got a toy ball, mom got a foam roller(the same you get for physical therapy), and I got mashoonga sticks!

dean, which one is that?
I always wanted to learn the "8 hands of Lohan" as performed by Prof. Pearce. I know that's a generic title, but his rendition at the 2000 Gathering of the Eagles Kenpo conference made a lasting impression.

Hung Family Five Animal - Five Elelment
The version I have is relatively short compared to the individual forms of each animal/element.
The version I have has fives moves for each seperate animal, so it is easy to teach but challenging enough to work on forever. I personally like the transitions; (ie. from Tiger/Fire to Snake/Earth to Crane/Air to Dragon/Water to Leopard/Wood) It is a simple form, but has much depth and hidden potential when performed against a partner in an aggressive fashion vs the form flow itself for moving meditation/health.
I would love to share it with you some time.
My Daughter has borrowed the Tiger portion from me so far and is progressing to ownership of that piece before advancing to the next animal.
Hope this makes sense. I get a little Zen like when it comes to my Kung Fuey side. LOL
Im glad to see we share some similar interests and look forward to soon meeting you Brother.
Dean
(But I digress)
I am gratful for being able to perform Funeral Honors today for 5 of our fallen Veterans today at:

Today,
I am grateful that I can wake up in my own house.
I am grateful that my daughter can fall asleep in my arms.
I am grateful that my wife is still with me.
I am grateful that I can put on my shoes.
I am grateful that I have a choice.

Well, after living my life up until last year with no real worries, physically and mentally, I came very close to dieing when my appendix unexpectedly ruptured. After a long recovery and a couple of setbacks I'm finally getting back to fighting shape. With that being said....
I'm grateful every morning when I wake up to spend another day with my family whom I dearly love.
Live each and every day.
Best regards,
William
