Grateful for being in a metaphorical parking lot, in a metaphorical car, just a few steps away from a great ocean of possibility. I have a few things I still need to do: put on the break, verify I have all of my things, put on sunscreen, etc. What matters most is that the ocean is not all that far now.

Grateful for the Martial Arts. Guro Inosanto once asked why a man had killed himself (because at least he had his Art - it's on this forum somewhere).
I really don't know where my life would be without the Martial Arts. They are in short, a way to solve every problem that I face. Especially those from within.

Is grateful for the run in with the two gang members that happened a week ago. It seems that I now have the opportunity to influence one of these young men's lives in a very positive way through the arts. I caught a fish.

Grateful our 2 younger children are enjoying their Christmas presents (Battleship, Connect Four, Milles Bournes).
Grateful our 2nd daughter beat me a few times in a row in Connect Four (granted, I was playing my son Battleship at the same time)... but she has progressed from, borrowing a JKD term, a SDA, to I guess what would be called a PIA in Connect Four.

Grateful for the two nice young purples I rolled with last night. Grateful for wonderful times with my children. Grateful the boss let us rearrange the living room furniture so we have play room-- including playing with Conrad's "Kinect" game (It's like Wii, but much, much better). Grateful for coming to a difficult decision about someone.

That's always a good thing  Grateful for taking my horse-crazy daughter to see Cavalia today. Hard to describe, a blend of humans and horses doing ballet is as close as I can get to it-- one of the most beautiful things I've seen. |
