Both instructors have a deep experience/ranking with the usual martial arts you see in these types of bio's. They are both deep into practicing/coaching DBMA but have particular experience/fondness for Wing Chun, Judo and the usual MMA-menagerie. Classes are informal but follow a hard work ethic, though this should not discourage anyone who has any disability or low fitness, as these challenges can be surpassed. Whilst both instructors practice the full DBMA curriculum, their particular areas of focus are Real Contact Stick Fighting and Empty Hand.

Whilst the group has produced a large number of fighters (and the largest number of female fighters in the UK), there is no expectation that anyone training with the group will fight.
