I sparred someone with a tennis ball in a sock the other day. About as close as I can get :P

We had a fight at the DB Tribal Gathering between a Sarong with some sort of ball in it and nunchakus.  It was one of the more exciting fights of the weekend.

Is there any video of it?

Originally it was going to be a tennis ball inside a sarong (a la stories from Pa Herman regarding the insertion of a rock inside a sarong for more impact). Lonely Dog then thought that it needed more oomph and less bounce so they cut it and put dirt inside.

Dog Jeremy Charles was doing quite well against Tennessee Dog's nunchaku until the very last exchange when Jeremy tried a fancy tie up with Tennessee's foot (caught while kicking). Inexperience with the flexible weapon caused Jeremy to momentarily pause which resulted in Tennessee Dog landing a solid nunchaku strike to the side of the fencing mask-encased head. The resulting disorientation caused the fight to be declared over as time was ending anyway.

Good fight.

not sure weather to post this here or on the bouncing thread
i have no experience with the battle scarf but i came across a very efficient version of this weapon
during my door days. it was shortly after a steven sagal  movie came out where he used a cue ball in a sock to
knock some one out. sure enough a few weeks later we had it happen at the club the victim had his most of his teeth knocked out
and had a welt on his forehead that made him look like a unicorn. i never allowed my guys to wear scarfs or hoods these are things i would look for to
remove people so i figured people would try to do the same on us. as for the battle scarf neat idea however i dont see it as a practical defense weapon
