Is this what you were calling me about?  I tried texting you back due to time differences, but got no reply.

Sounds like an outstanding opportunity on so many levels.

Looking forward to learning more about this,

C-GD,

If attendance is not possible, is there a way to make a small donation to the cause? If so, (and it's okay with Guro Crafty) please post the info. on this thread.

Tres Cool!

Is there a physical address or destination for this event?  I need to start looking into travel for this ASAP.  I have my British Birth Certificate so border crossing should be no prob. Might drive or Fly duno yet.

PS
Call me anytime Brother during the day is usually best though.

Dog Brothers State College, PA is trying to get our passports in order to make the trip!  We could have as many as 5-6 fighters if people get passports in time.

C-Growling Dog:
Congrats on not sitting on your butt and thinking about "doing something". Instead you DID something. My "inner cynic" often observes that I often hear many, many people who have never done anything themselves complain about people who actually DO do something. You didn't wait around for someone else. You just got the gonads to organize something instead of sitting on your butt and complaining.

Please accept my congratulations and admiration! This goes out not only for your efforts but for all of the participants. If not for my previous commitment to participate/help an individual who is currently fighting cancer himself,  I would be joining you and the rest to "beat
The Crap" out of the disease today.

Might I encourage readers of this forum to click on the donation link you provided below and participate. Most  can afford a donation... even if just a  few dollars. I wager most reading this CAN donate $5 or more.  I KNOW it. The process is simple and takes 5 minutes. It does make a difference.

BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF CANCER: Lung Cancer - Lungevity
« Reply #23 on: December 29, 2010, 12:38:51 PM »
$7500 raised in one event is an amazing success!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I have given all my possible donation money and then some for this year to the following research fund in honor of my good friend fighting lung cancer right now who never smoked a day in his life.  As I gave money I don't have, I explained to my daughter that charitable giving often is stronger later in life when you are more able to give something back.  Cancer research funding is different.  If you want your donation to help save your own life or a family member, you may need to do it now.

Lungevity Foundation,  (Google: 'lungevity')

http://events.lungevity.org/site/PageServer?pagename=v2_DonateNow

Lung cancer kills twice as many women as breast cancer, three times as many men as prostate cancer.  Research funding is slowed by the stigma maybe that smokers today knew what they were getting into, but more than 60% of new diagnosis are with people who quit or never smoked.

Like all cancer, early detection is the key.  They are getting close, I am told. to a breakthrough on an effective pre-screen test that would give lung cancer patients a fighting chance for survival.  Dr. CCP, any comments on this?

Read all the way through this thread.  The previous great causes are still accepting donations too!

I know  Marc from WT and Pappy, Kalani and some of the No ho tribe. I watch them train sometimes. Great group of psycho's in the nicest sense of the word.

In spring of 2009, I was diagnosed with colon cancer, had surgery and went thru chemo. I'm great. The reason I'm posting is to thank you guys for taking the time and the initiative to do something positive in the fight against cancer. There is not too many people who don't know someone affected by this dis-ease.

The fact that you thought about doing something to help someone else speaks volumes of the quality of the spirit of the tribe that guro Marc talks about in the videos I've seen
