Training Alone?

Does anyone have any resources for solo training techniques?
I don't have anybody to train with at the moment. For the most part, I've been 'shadow boxing' various knife, stick and empty hand drills, and I do feel it helps my body mechanics and flow, just by visualizing my training partner and focusing on the movements.
I don't feel my sensitivity is really helped by training like this, for obvious reasons, but I don't have any alternative right now. Obviously I can still do conditioning work and general exercise (push ups, sit ups etc.)
Is there a recommended way of doing what I'm doing? Is it unusual to do this?
Thanks
Alex

Ahem, Alex. Please forgive the advertisement, but the first four tapes of our first series are aimed at solo training.
Yip!

lol OK. Thanks Crafty I'll have a look right now
EDIT: You mean the Real Contact Stickfighting series right?
The product info links for the videos don't seem to be working right now, are the videos available in PAL format? I live in the UK.
Thanks again.

Yes, the RCSFg series. As for the tech glitches, I will inform Cindy and our Webmaster.

Hmmm maybe something's up at my end. When I click on the video links themselves (not the clips) I get this:

I second Crafty in the video series! Another thing you can do is if you have a heavy bag, use it has a partner. I do a solo stick workout each day warming up with shadow boxing, then moving to the bag and then to the mat for some ground stick work.

Alex,
Where are you finding that link? It's an old one from a previous version of our website.
Try:
http://dogbrothers.com/index.php?cPath=23
Our video clips are not currently working but our webmaster is on it and says they will be up and running by tomorrow.
