Would anybody know the exact Conan comic the Dog Brothers name came from smiley

I could tell you that the use of 'dog brother' came from author Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan, but it was used in his Red Sonya story titled 'Shadows of the Vulture'.

Red Sonja (spelling changed for the comic) was a character who appeared in the Conan The Barbarian comic book written by Roy Thomas. It is possible that a Conan issue which included her in it used that term for the first time in comics.

I bow to SH's superiority as a historian  cheesy and will add only that it was used many times in the Conan comics.

Do a search.  I did so several months ago and came up with some good results.  There is also an entire site dedicated to the comic.  I remember it being used in the context of "Come you Dog Brothers."

Thanks again. I was just wondering because there is this used book store that has around 50 used Conan The Barbarain comics. I thought maybe I could find THE ONE that inspired the name " Dog Brothers".

I worked with most of those gentlemen at that site. Saffel was a Marvel editor during the 90's and Rusty Burke wrote a biography of Robert E. Howard which I art designed in the late nineties. They'll have all the answers you need and more.

Well, this seems to have sunk like rock; the LA Times value as a contra-indicator remains undiminished  cheesy  I guess I will see it when it comes out on video.
