From Guro Marc “Crafty Dog Denny”:

Woof!

Ryan “Guard Dog” Gruhn has been a private student of mine for several years now. With his 20+ years in the combat arts and the credentials he has earned along the way he brought considerable skills to our time together and this enables us to do good work. As a full Dog Brother he brings all the Real Contact Stick Fight experience that goes with such an honor and as a successful head instructor of a 450 student school who has coached many MMA, Muay Thai, Boxing fighters to good results (some have even gone on to the UFC or other professional expressions of their training with him) he knows how to teach so that your skills will be for real. Thus it is with confidence that I promoted him to “Black Dog Tag Instructor” and authorize him to teach seminars on my behalf for the Dog Brothers Martial Arts Instructors Association for the eastern half of the United States.

It is worth mentioning that Ryan is also a Full Instructor (Level V) under Ajarn Chai, Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Full Instructor in Jeet Kune Do / Filipino Martial Arts under the Inosanto Lineage. He has been a Trainer/Coach to Muay Thai, Golden Gloves, Strikeforce and UFC fighters/champions.
