I live in the UK and finding lightweight gloves suitable for training is a nightmare. Can anyone tell me where I can get the Easton gloves that I keep seeing on the DB DVDs.

http://www.directsports.com/catalog/browse/10/5.html. I see all kinds of gloves being used at Gathering.
As for me, I use lacross gloves. I don't mind taking a good beating, but after seeing http://www.dogbrothers.com/gallery/Nov03/Dsc00181 up close, I want my hands to get home intact. As my skill (and confidence) improve, I hope to move to a lighter glove.

Pappy Dog has some which I have used that are inbetween a batting glove and hockey glove. I personally love them.

I've used motorcross gloves and found them pretty good. Wrist articulation was great and my knuckles did not get cut up in case I hit the mask (fencing mask btw - not a kendo mask). Important safety tip - they will not protect you from a straight on hit .... and they shouldn't have to.

Many thanks guys for the advice. I'm going to with the KIL Gloves as I think they would be best suited to my skill level - still getting taged a little too much to for the Mylec Pro ones!

You would be surprised, the lighter gloves make you more aware of your hands and you train more effectively at ot getting "tagged"

Thanks carlo.
My intention wasn't to totallly protect my hand so that I don't feel the shot - if that was the case I would buy a pair of ice hockey gloves. These gloves still look as though you will feel a decent shot through them, where as the mylec ones offer very little protection.

Pappy's stuff is always exellent. Currently I use lineman's gloves. They served me well at my last Gathering...now to work on that whole avoiding a concussion thing :p

But haven't had a chance to do anything with 'em yet. I note they also have full finger entry gloves also.

Ultra-lights like the lineman gloves are definitely cutting edge.
