I was wondering what kind of Dog is a Dog Brothers Best Friend?
*(Canine pictures only)
This is mine, "SAM" son

Lets see some pics and tell some stories...

My last canine family member was a golden retriever. Loyal, and loving, but terrified of flashlights. Probably not all that great as a guard dog :P
My father also had a doberman when I was a teenager. He never barked for some reason. The smaller kids in the neighborhood used to ride him around like a horse and he loved it. He would wait at the edge of the yard until the school bus dropped them off in the afternoon.
I tend to end up with big, friendly, goofy dogs. Maybe that says something about me? *shrug*

Fond memories there I am sure. Thank you for sharing. I have a feeling that we are not the only ones on the forum with Dogs... Lets hear from you and see some pics.

Well, I can't resist showing pictures of my mangy mongrels. :-) They're both rescue dogs and best friends.
Here's Larry. A true mutt. It's anybody's guess what breeds coalesced to create this dog:

And my Am Staff girl, Zola:

My best friend Samson died during the night of natural causes. I buried him at my brother in-laws home this morning. He will be missed. RIP SAM. He was my inspiration for the Rottweiler head in my logo. Howls in sadness.

Kaju,
I am sorry for your loss of your friend.
At the end of Man Meets Dog Lorenz quotes: Burns
Pleasures are like poppies spread,
you sieze the flower,its bloom is shed;
or like the snow falls in the river
a moment white, then melts forever........
Im sorry you are hurting.
