I do agree with you absolutely about this show and Human Weapon.Which is really disappointing because I want to see how these participants would do against these other fighters.I can respect some of the guys on LastOneStanding for being honest about them not wanted to get injured because they have a family back home to support. On the other side of that though I feel they should have thought about that before agreeing to do the show.I haven't gotten a chance to see the new episode but it does sound good.I also want to see the one coming up that has them do some sort of race carrying what looks like a log.I enjoy, out of these two shows, the different training techniques that they show.

I'm pretty sure those tribes men could have won those fights easily.Do you think fighting with that shield would be more of a help or hindrance?

Has  anyone had the opportunity to watch this show(LastOneStanding). It comes on Discovery Channel. This past week the guys went to a Zulu Tribe, received training and competed in their form of stick fighting. No pads,a attack stick in one hand, and a stick with a buckler type shield in the other. It was very interesting to watch.I just wanted to see what everyone else who watched it thought of it.

For anyone who has read this,The Book of Five Rings, do you feel any of the strategies in it are applicable to your stick fighting since Miyamoto Musashi was adept with two swords?

Which video would be the best to start with as to get the basic technique and fundamentals learned for stick fighting. I ordered the Krabi Krabong video but now I feel that may be a little advanced for just starting out. Any suggestions???

I just wanted to check before registering. Do I need to be a certain skill level to attend? What equipment should I be sure to bring? As of now I have no experience but by March I should have some knowledge but will still be very inexperienced.

Martial Arts Topics / Training in the Winchester,Virginia area.....

Hello everyone.I am looking for training partners in my area. I am interested in partners that want to improve conditioning, train standup, ground, and stick fighting with alot of sparring from light all the way up to full contact.More so on the full contact side. The training I am aiming for is more towards real life encounters but with the option to train towards competition if that is what is needed to help improve any and all partners. Definitely no ego driven cowboys. I want myself and partners I may acquire to be pushed to improve not pushed to injury. Anyone who is interested please contact me via email.
