Any late arrivals looking for a double stick match?

Looking for a single, or a single and knife or a double stick- prefer a no-grappling fight this time around.Gibby, I'm game for any of those... I've only got a knife fight scheduled so far
QuoteLet the chatter begin...
Funny how the flight confirmation email changed my internal dialogue from "Hell yeah lets do this" to "what the hell are thinking?"
hahahaha, +1, not that i have flight confirmation yet but thats pdf. and understood. :]
Pretty Kitty,
I just noticed that the attachment of "Registered Fighters" for Sept 20th is showing the old list from last year.
FYI
Please add my name to the list of Fighters and I will be dropping my registration form in the mail now.
Woof,
Kaju Dog
You're right...I need to update it. If you plan to fight please send in a registration form. (This means everyone!) You may fax it to 310-943-2733 or mail it in.
Also, Dog Steve Gruhn.
With all the posting on this, I confess to have been feeling a sense of wrong doing of late. (Never my intention, I never take the mat wanting to hurt someone)
I truly did apply slow constant pressure, and do again admit I was surprised that Phil was able to fight off the tap as long as he did. (I was fully expecting a quick tap)
i wish i was there still. i have a pretty good life here, family and friends even, but damn i had more hugs than fights, wtf am i supposed to do now? watch golf? go back to my cubicle and pretend thats important?
cool whats the price on the sticks
What is considered "padded"? I know Crafty that you have not allowed "hockey" gloves for some time now and leaned towards more of a street hockey glove. Are we talking knee and elbow pads?
Woof!
Gruhn
just booked flight and hotel see you guys there, any one ever have any problems traveling with your equipment? And Pappy Dog says he will be selling sticks on site as well.
Jeff: Your fighter registration came in today, but of course its not official until Cindy gets it posted
1) Powerhouse Gym is confirmed!!!
We are not able to go to The Gathering in August 2008...Argh! I'm sorry to hear that, as I was assuming that we were all going to get beat up together ...
Reason why I go with Emerson Knives and now the Syperco Shivworks. Their knives don't have that problem and I am pretty sure Cold Steel does not either. The Camillus HEAT series is also a nice (and inexpensive) liner-lock assisted-open knife without the aforementioned "twist and cut your finger off" problem:
Guys,
I just went to my fist class on Saturday and unfortunately I don’t think it’s for me. Just kidding. I think I’m hooked already. We worked on footwork, forward triangle, reverse triangle, est. Learned the basic strikes and moving while hitting. Anyway I have a lot of thoughts on this an I will post them on the blog on Monday but I will say that as someone coming from MMA BJJ MT this was an eye opening experience to what I believe is a VERY combat effective system and I’m stoked to be heading down this path.
The Rooster
... PS has some featured fights in our soon to be released double disco DVD "Dos Triques Formula..."
what's in that sequence is what's known to me as sqaut thrust. a burpee, to my knowledge, DOES include a push-up and a jump to be counted as one rep.
Francisco
I do 50 to 60 in 2 minutes. Can anyone tell me if that is a good pace?Yikes! A burpee every two seconds? Yeah, that's a good pace...
Scott
I was wondering, for all the folks out there with kids or who have regular interaction with children, what kinds of things (like the above examples) do you do to expose them to martial arts?
