I thought the citizen with the broom had good intentions but because one picks up a broom, doesn't mean they know how to use it.
Same with the guy breaking the staff in two. Just because one has two sticks in the hand doesn't mean one knows how to use it.

The cops could use a little forehand redondo training for sure

The Fencing Post is my favorite with great deals. www.thefencingpost.com

Here's a link to a great, affordable mask with removable liner to wash. http://stores.thefencingpost.com/-strse-622/MFLN23/Detail.bok

Wow, isn't nice how we have to play the word game with signage on OUR OWN PROPERTY to protect ourselves from the scum lawyer and judge
who like to make the law abiding citizen appear as if he/she is the criminal. It's as if they rather WE become the statistic. The legal system is so wonderful.

Sorry to hear about this trouble. Very frustrating. It's been a month and to not have the knife or money returned is unacceptable.
Maxx hasn't gotten back to you but he seems to have the time to post on other FMA sites asking the same retarded questions and having the usual
incoherent discourse he would have here. I'm actually amazed at the patience from GC and other DB posters.

Hope it's resolved soon. Please keep us posted.

Hi Guys.

I know we all like to obsess on the knife attack and it's defense but I think Gabe had it right when he said (paraphrase) Don't hang out in stupid places, with stupid people doing stupid things.
That's about 99% of it folks. Yes, it's different for LEO's, door staff etc., but unless you are looking for trouble it usually won't find you. Awareness is key.  :-D

This is hilarious. Not because Maxx got stabbed, but because all this money is spent on vids, gear, special knives...seminars, $1000 training weekends,competitions...and YOU CAN"T USE IT.
It comes down to INTENT. The guy was intent on scrapping and he did. Had Maxx pulled his knife and stabbed him, probably killing him, the the guy who spent years learning how to defend himself now
gets to try it in prison. I can't tell you how much I hold back because of consequences. Prick judges, lawyers hell bent on putting anyone away, cops who don't care, civil suits from families who lost thugs
but felt it was wrongful....know what I mean here?

You walk out of your house with anything and they will bust you for it, check your history...you're f'd

But, the situation gets hyper-analyzed and we supposedly all learn something from it. "this is what I would've done..." and so forth. So it's all
just for information purposes only I guess.

awesome, guys! thanks for the posts!
any tips on doing abanikos (proper angle of the wrist et al)?

Abaniko is an elbow driven movement. The starting and ending position is the same if you were to thrust a 6 and 7.
Their should be no stress on the shoulder or wrist when doing abaniko.

As far as tennis elbow, the stick diameter you train with might need to be increased. If the stick is too thin, you put strain on the forearm
muscles by trying to keep a tight grip.

Hello all,

Crafty, have you ever thought of a thread for us to sell used vids, gear etc.? A nice disclaimer making DBMAA not responsible for items sold.
Some sites have a $1 honor system so when an item sells, we mail you a dollar. Posters could leave an email to contact and then take it from there.
Any thoughts? Anyone... :-D
