Hey All,

Just wanted to share two stories with you all. 01NOV10 a man went to check an alarm coming from his neighbors apartment. When I arrived he met the BG in the driveway a scuffle ensued and he had his weapon taken from him and was shot three times and died. Second story. A few days before Xmas and families home was invaded by two scumbags. The Sb's took what they wanted and left. The father a Iraq war vet decided to go after them unarmed. He caught up with the two and was shot and killed for his trouble leaving his infant daughter fatherless.

Just something to think about.

Hello all,

First a quick introduction.  Name is Josh and I am retired from the US Army after serving this great nation for 28 years.  I have read and heard many good things about Mr. Denny and his group.  Very switched on program.  After retirement I have been involved in training.  Edged weapons are my forte.

So right now I am interested in exploring dbma an looking for training partners in the OK.  I am interested in SIW curriculum and other aspects.

Soempat does use curved sticks but is also a wicked edged weapons art.

Good thing you don't live in London.  The Mayor of that UK city made this quote last summer in response to the raising violent crime rate in his city.  Citizens who witness a violent crime should just walk the other way.

Good job.

Grateful for my training partners who always push me to go the extra set and explore each opportunity in combat.

My children who keep me young.

Turning 50 a few days before Christmas.

Watching my children ransack the house looking for presents.

Mr. Denny,

I would like to see more knife grappling, small improvised weapons and maybe intragrated weapons training, flowing from empty hands, impact weapons, edged weapons to firearms.

I am thankful today and everyday for my team mates. Who serve proudly as warriors and for those how have made the ultimate sacrifice that we may have the opportunity to persue the things that we love and hold dear.

And as always for my wife and two children who put up the the craziness of my (one minute I'm here the next I'm gone) life with little or no complaints.

I am also thankful for those such as Marc, Gabe, Michael Janich and Kelly McCann among others for doing what they do when they take time out away from their families to train us to be warriors and not worriers.
