Pekiti-Tirsia Master Instructor Tim Waid will be conducting a combat skills seminar on Aug 14-15 in Huntington Beach, CA  
 
Tim Waid is currently the Director of the Pekiti-Tirsia Global Organization in North America as well the Survival Edge Systems Pekiti-Tirsia Tactical Training Institute.  
 
The seminar will cover: combat bladefighting concepts and techniques (knife vs knife, empty hand vs knife), empty hand techniques (pangamut) and the foundation of Pekiti Tirsia System using solo baston.

Having trained in the internal type of martial arts of Ba Gua, Xing Yi, Tai Ji, Yi Quan and Aiki Jiu Jitsu; I have found many similarities and connections in with the "NEW" DBMA stuff I'm learning.  For those who have trained in similar arts what kind of connections have you noticed?
