This will probably interest a number of people on this thread.

It strikes four times faster than a snake. It kicks with more than 1,000 pounds (453.59 kg) of force. And it can rival the impact of a 35 mph (56.33 kph) car crash. It's the most complex weapon ever designed?the human body. National Geographic Channel brings together a team of experts and a cross section of champion martial arts masters to analyze the world's greatest fighting techniques and find out which discipline has the hardest hits, the fastest moves, and even the deadliest weapons.

The show is premiering at 9:00 PM August 20th.

There was a show on the Discovery Channel called"Going Tribal". The basis of the show is an Englishman going and living completely with a tribe for a while.  One of the episodes was of him living with the Surma tribe and doing some training with them, but they would not let him actually take part in the fight as they did not want him hurt.

Thanks for all the input. I'll definitely look for that book, and look forward to start my training soon.

Greetings to you all,

I am interested in studying FMA, but have some issues with my rotator cuff. Does anyone that posts here have/had a similar problem and what have been their experiences in regards to it ? Is it prohibitive to their studies, or do the motions not affect it much.
Thank you for your input.

I know the Bakbakan organization is located in Lodi, N.J.
I am also looking for a good FMA school, but am unable to join at this time due to employment. Hope he finds a good school.
