Hey guys,
I have to say, I have been around alot of martial arts instructors and Dave is amazing. The way he breaks the stuff down is pure science and no bullshit. after my first class I was sore in new ways and some of the things they are doing are really progressive and hurt like hell

Guys,
I just went to my fist class on Saturday and unfortunately I don’t think it’s for me. Just kidding.  I think I’m hooked already. We worked on footwork, forward triangle, reverse triangle, est. Learned the basic strikes and moving while hitting. Anyway I have a lot of thoughts on this an I will post them on the blog on Monday but I will say that as someone coming from MMA BJJ MT this was an eye opening experience to what I believe is a VERY combat effective system and I’m stoked to be heading down this path.

Hey guys,
I wanted to introduce my self to the forum. I am literally brand new to stick fighting and weapons in general. I have a background in Muay Thai and MMA. I have recently decided to take a new route on my path and start training FMA. This is for a variety of reasons the primary being that I’m getting to a point where I feel comfortable in any of the open hand ranges, especially against your average Joe. I know that there is always someone who can best you and in my case many people who can do so. I will still train Muay Thai and roll occasionally. Anyway I have admired the Dog Brothers from afar for many years, since I got the panther productions tapes back in the day and look forward to the input.
My first kali class is this weekend and I will be keeping a blog about this new path as both a public forum for responses and also as a journal to see where I have been.
If you want to check it out it will be at: http://theroosters45.blogspot.com/

Thanks guys,

The Rooster
