Way cool, it is about time someone started coming up with unique stuff.  Yep, creepy, but the cool kind.

Woof Rarick:

Yes, it is cool to see new illusions. Some years ago, The Masked Magician came out with a series of specials, Magic's Greatest Secrets Revealed (or something similarly titled) and glad to see that "magic" is not dead and stagnating.

« on: August 17, 2010, 09:57:19 AM »
A blonde calls her boyfriend and says, "Please come over here and help me… I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get started."

Her boyfriend asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?"

The blonde says, "According to the picture on the box, it's a rooster."

Her boyfriend decides to go over and help with the puzzle.

She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table.

He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says, "First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a rooster."

He takes her hand and says, "Second, I want you to relax. Let's have a nice cold drink," and then, he said with a  deep sigh..........

(scroll down)

"Let's put all the Corn Flakes back in the box."

Not sure if there are any Senshido (Richard Dmitri's system) affiliates who read the DB forum and I'm not an affiliate, but Dmitri's/Senshido's take on the Color Codes is interesting to me. I have his book, IN TOTAL DEFENSE OF THE SELF, and their color code system is as such:

SENSHIDO'S COLOR CODED RISK EVALUATION GUIDE

Code Green:     In a safe, enclosed area with friends or family
Code Yellow:    Out of home with friend(s), familiar environment, daytime
Code Red:        Out Alone, unknown area, enclosed space, evening or night

Im such a perv...

good one

It took me 7 seconds to realize I am a perv LOL

----------------------------------

A guy is 72 years old and loves to fish.

He was sitting in his boat the other day when he heard a voice say,

'Pick me up.'

He looked around and couldn't see anyone.

He thought he was dreaming when he heard the voice say again,

'Pick me up.'

He looked in the water and there, floating on the top, was a frog.

The man said, 'Are you talking to me?'

The frog said, 'Yes, I'm talking to you.'

Pick me up then, kiss me and I'll turn into the most beautiful  woman you have ever seen.

I'll make sure that all your friends are envious and jealous because I will be your bride!'

The man looked at the frog for a short time,

reached over, picked it up carefully, and placed it in his front pocket.

The frog said, 'What, are you nuts? Didn't you hear what I said? I said kiss me and I will be your beautiful bride.'

He opened his pocket, looked at the frog and said,  'Nah, at my age I'd rather have a talking frog.'

With age comes wisdom.

Thanks, Stickgrappler!

We've exchanged emails in the past (i've posted on another forum as "the stewed owl") and sent you some photocopies of articles on JHR and Bando, and always enjoyed all the archives on your website.

Grateful to hear from you again, as well.

This will sound lame... but I saw "Mick C." and my kneejerk reaction was, "I wonder how 'TheStewedOwl' is doing... dayum lost contact with him... I wonder if "Mick C." is him"? Nah, what are the odds?!?!?!"

Are you still on the UG? I sometimes check there but I've less time at work to surf around all the forums I used to visit regularly, mainly lurk here and hang at Ausgepicht's forum. If you have time, check Spladdle out.

And many moons ago when you sent me that BB JHR article, little did we know thatBB would make their 1st issue through their December 2004 issues available free via Google Books LOL

Very truly yours,

~sg

Much respect for both Shane and Brock!

If only Shane paced himself IMO... he exploded on Brock and held nothing back. He was noticeably tired. Brock's corner mentioned it too.

Rooted for Shane to KO Brock, but IMO, Shane should've held back some, get better positioning and conserve energy and pick his spots when he had clear shot when he was on top.

Hope there's immediate rematch like BJ Penn x Frankie Edgar 2 and Lyoto x Shogun 2.

Not dissing the Security Guy, but I've read/heard that Doormen/Bouncers say if their soft skills have not deescalated the situation and that they have to resort to hard skills then they didn't perform their duties well. Or maybe it was something Dalton/Patrick Swayze said in Road House lol

Woof all:

I really am looking forward to this fight. In the UFC Fantasy League, I generally would vote for Brock Lesnar with the attitude of "he's so big, strong AND fast for his size, he would be tough to beat". But I am slowly but surely becoming a Shane Carwin fan. He showed me something when he took on Frank Mir.

I think if Carwin is able to keep it standing up, he has legit KO power and will test Lesnar's jaw. Push Lesnar to the cage and like he did with Mir, do it to Brock. Lesnar needs to take Shane down and do his G&P like he did to Mir.

My friend put it roughly this way, Shane has 5 5-min rounds to KO Brock. Even if Brock gets Shane on the ground, he probably won't get a sub and ref will stand them back up again.

after coming back from this weekend's seminar with Guro Crafty, there is a time and place for, as he puts it, "Martial Arts and Crafts"... he's not downplaying the fancy looking techniques like wristlocks, stick chokes, etc, but IIRC the way it's trained.

look at the dos triques footwork matrix of DBMA. or the Kali Tudo, it will give you the angles to pull off the wristlocks, trapping, silat throws etc.

but wow at seagal training silva. hope i don't see "silva pulls out of fight with sonnon 'cos of broken wrist during training."

Guro, you should do NYC at this time of the year every year!

Woof Ryan,

Indeed, it was a great seminar. Able to cover a lot of material and Guro Crafty was able to break it down even for beginners like me to understand the details and more importantly, I retained a lot of it and will look forward to training it with my partners.

My apologies for not being able to chat more with you, I was really out of it the first day and really hungry after the seminar was over.

Grateful to have trained material under Guro Crafty's watchful eye.

Grateful on the 2nd day of the seminar my partner was an advanced MAist.

Grateful one of my training partners was able to attend the seminar with me, so that we can work the material together better.
