Friday night was the last episode of the series.  Although season three started off unsteadily, it finished well.  This the final season (#4).

What a truly remarkable achievement this series was!  Great respect to all involved!

Just watched it this morning.

A beautiful selection, GC.

Grateful for a LARGE gathering of family for Thanksgiving that will take place at my home for the first time in my life. How blessed and humbled I am to be an adult with a young family of my own, and a home in which to host the day.

My son tripped last night and cut his scalp fairly deeply. I'm grateful that while he needed four staples last night, today he is acting like he feels just fine.

Also, prayers for my friends on the east coast. I hope you are safe, any damage that comes your way is minor.
Grateful GD s son is solid like his father :)

Chaz got 4 a few years ago , his hair grew back... eventually ;)

Grateful my wife is smiling more these days.  14 years ago Wednesday , she gave into my charms .  Been together since 95.

Loving her more each day :*

I fought Growling Dog with my CM Cane vs a cane I got from a box at the hospital .  I have abused my cane a bit and it is solid other than expected battle scars .  The generic cane broke during the fight...  I've carried it into court through security at airports and never had any issues arise ;)

My best friend Samson died during the night of natural causes. I buried him at my brother in-laws home this morning.   He will be missed.  RIP SAM.   He was my inspiration for the Rottweiler head in my logo.  Howls in sadness.

The DoD has the IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit)

Im thinking FFAK (Fighter First Aid Kit) for the DBs kit or maybe Doggie Bag?

Point is there is a first aid kit available here that one as a fighter could become familiar with at the Gatherings of the Pack.

Brain Fart ;)

69 fighters is outstanding.   My hope is that at least some will buy Dog Brothers Individual 1st Aid kits.  It has all the contents one would desire for self help if injured.   My supplies are limited but available as needed.  It's highly encouraged that you hit up the DB Online shop.

PS

I will be happy to answer any questions and show anyone who buys a DB med kit how it all works... :)

Start Hydrating now if you wait till the day of, it's too late.  Look for clear urine output.   Avoid taking supplements that can dehydrate your body.  Also avoid taking Ibuprofen/ Motrin and other things that thin the blood, making hemorrhage control more difficult and internal bleeding more serious.   Just some kibble

Most of you should already be aware ;-)

Thoughts on this untested brain

fart

Picture an mma rash guard with the shoulder pads from a womans shirt sewn or just put in the armpit between skin and shirt??  Also,  how often does an injury of this extreme occur? ??  Are we overreacting and should trust in the honor system?

???

FFT :  steal wool/  File/ sandpaper.   Check all your edges BEFORE and AFTER every fight.   IME:  small burrs and fisher hooked edges happen when blades connect with masks, other blades and from a variety of contact possibilities.   Proper Preparation is the first step in prevention of serious injury.

JIC :  Bringing suters, super glue, safety pins and skin staplers ;)

In addition to good foot and personal hygiene supplies, please consider medical / sports tape, zip lock bags for ice packs and dirty wet wipes trash.  Seran wrap is great for short term use in a variety of ways and a gym towel for keeping the gym floor in your immediate areas dry/ clean.   Im bringing what I have and while supplies last, sharing with wounded warriors PRN

Woof Kaju Dog - Very pleased (and relieved) to hear that you will be there.  I will be fighting and it is hard to transition between roles. I got a small taste of that at the Tribal, and it wasn't easy, much respect for your years of watching out for your brothers. Gave me a better appreciation of combat medics, and that was with no one shooting at us!

See you in a week!

C-Dr Dog

Together then....   for the Tribe!

Thank you Brother

Woof All:

On the DBMA Assn forum there has been some discussion about stick length at the Ggs.   Someone raised the question of KK sticks being substantially longer (somewhere in the 36-39" range) than the usual FMA stick (30" being a typical length at Ggs) and proffered the notion of "cumulative length" i.e. that a 5-6' staff was the functional equivalent of two 36" KK sticks.

Thoughts?

Crafty Dog

Never cared for" Dueling"  with matching weapons.   Can't we stick closer to the era of "GLADIATORS"  and embrace the challenges of variables such as this?

Sticks should vary as much as we do as humans.
