Arkangel,

There was a 6 point something quake somewhere above San Francisco.

Thankfully (knock on wood) nothing happened in Southern California. While we wish the folks up north all the best, SoCal and NorCal might as well be different countries, leaving the poor folks in central California in the terrible position of having to pick sides!  J/K (That was a little California humor there for you).

From what I read and saw, while the quake was signifiant, nothing terrible resulted from it, which is always good news  :-)

Anyway better than hearing the kids are all right, it had nothing to do with you lot.

Some twelve years ago Cindy and I were in a really big one (7.6?) in Huatulco Mexico at a Club Med during dinner.  The dinner hall had some 200 people in it-- who promptly stampeded under a huge plate glass window.  When the dust cleared, the only people left in the dining room were Cindy and me and three people at a nearby table.

We were all from Los Angeles.
