Smart/FlashMobs?

Has anyone seen or heard about so called Flash/Smart Mobs?  Apparently people of little common interests get together in very big groups for no reason what-so-ever.  I've seen some footage on the news, and some on the internet, and it is very much real.  Since I value the minds of this forum I'd like to recieve some of your comments/input on this social anamoly.

pretty sad when this sort of thing is the social revolution of our times.
