pointfootwork / cinco terros
« on: November 23, 2003, 04:16:58 PM »
hi everybody
2 technical questions from escrima, i hope some of you guys
can help me.

first: pointfootwork
can i use it as a freestyle tool, in "every" situation?
or is pointfootwork only defensiv or offensiv footwork?
whats the usual strikes with this steps?
----------------------------------------------
i know replacementstepping from the firts serrada book
from mister wiley. i dont know maybe its something familiar?
i know that the RS is often use in sword/stick and dagger......

second: cinco terros
some informations to this style?
i know its a broken piece of latosa escrima, and some modern arnis
styles use it.
but, its only the classik 1-2-3-4-5 pattern?
(forhand, backhand, horizontal forhand -backhand, stab)
or had this style also blocks or other defensiv-movements?
is it more stick or blade?
----------------------------------
we train sometimes hit against hit and stop in a KK-way
with the point to the partners face. it is superb to continue with a stab......
????????????????????????   ahhh help.
:P
