Marc Crafty Dog Denny Seminar in Bloomington Illinois at Jkd-Concepts Bloomington

Location:  Lincoln Leisure Center, 1206 S Lee St, Bloomington, IL 61701



Dates:    Saturday November  10th  and Sunday November  11th     2012



DAY ONE---   Saturday November  10th
Morning session:  Knife fighting, DLO and In fight weapons access.



Afternoon session: Recognizing different types of fighters in the Seven
Ranges of Stick fighting and developing plans for different fighter
archetypes and applying this knowledge in learning how to stick fight.






DAY TWO:  Sunday November 11th

Morning session: STAFF

 We will have staff available for purchase and a limited number to loan for
participants flying into the seminar.

Afternoon session: STICK GRAPPLING






Cost :  Two days -    Payment received  Before November 1st, 2012      $175.00

                              Before November 1st  DBMA members and members of the Dog Brothers  tribe. $150.00

                              Before November 1st     Active Duty military and LEO $ 140.00





                                   After  November 1st   and at the door prices   $185.00

                                   After  November 1st   DBMA members and members of the tribe. $175.00

I would suggest a rattan staff rather then a hard wood staff as the rattn doesnt shatter under power training. We will have some staff on sale.

Guro denny has staff for sale in the dog brothers store on the web site  "i have borrowed out of Guros  bag and fought with them at the gatherings.

More then anything i would suggest getting the staff prior to seminar so you can get used to moving it around and working on your movement with a new staff.

BTW folks, its not often that I cover staff at seminars due to space issues and not often that I cover stickgrappling because , , , well , , , stickgrappling was my ace up my sleeve and I've been rather secretive about it

From facebook postings, sounds like an awesome seminar!

I had an opportunity to attend a Guro Crafty staff seminar back in 2001 or 2002 IIRC. I love the DBMA staff material. Great functional skills in addition to health benefits

Now gotta work on attending a Guro C stickgrappling seminar and I would be one less item off the Bucket List lol

An excellent day of privates on Friday.

Dog Pete, Carlos, and two of their crew in the morning (lots of Kali Tudo, Dog Pete is looking for his second cage fight in December) and then lots of Staff with Shadow Dog and three of his crew in the afternoon.

Saturday morning was DLO, including some of the new curriculum received from GM Art Gonzalez of Tenio Decuerdas in the morning and applied single stick fighting in the afternoon.

Today was Staff in the morning (including the Bad Eights Game for the first time in seminar) and stickgrappling in the afternoon.  Lots of fun interacting vigorously with several folks there.

Shadow Dog attracks good people.

The plan for 2013 is to have three seminars, one of which will be in Chicago with Dog Pete and Justin Locke teaming up for that one.
