Russian Systema: Training partner around Pasadena, CA

Hi, guys,

I am practicing Russian Systema. My main place of training is too far for me to go there more than once a week. So I am looking for a training partner around Pasadena, CA. Styles and weapons do not matter; in Systema we work with any available tools. I also love cross-training and sparring. They force you to think and work outside the box and teach variety. I will be happy to adjust to the partner’s skill level and can work at any level of speed and contact.

Hi, Dan,

You can check Systema on youtube, although most of the video there is the training one, to work on a particular set of skills rather than to demonstrate an actual application. There is also a great deal of crap there that is called Systema, but it is not what we do. Here is the link to a guy under whom I train in LA. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiuXkP9WWaM (although it is also a training speed. When he speeds up, I hardly can keep him in sight.) I am far from being that good as he is, but it will give you an idea. What do you practice and would you like to meet? I will copy this message to your email in case you want contact me.
