As it turns out, Eric won't be attending, so I should have space for a second staff fight (assuming I survive the first) - I'll add you on the card!

On another note..... I am pretty sure I will NOT be in attendance for the Open 

My wife is running the Chicago Marathon in Oct. She will be running 20 miles the day on the open in a mach race in Chicago.
As much as I want to be out there fighting, I feel a greater need to be here supporting her. With all of my training, cage fights, Gatherings, teaching classes..... she stands behind 100% ofthe time. I need and want to be here for her on this one.

Next Gathering for me will most likely be up North in Feb. 2014

I just wanted to let anyone in the Hemet/San Jacinto area that may need a carpool out to the open gathering know that I have two seats available and would be happy to help out with a ride for anyone that needs one. It will be an admittedly tight fit (I just have an old Toyota Tercel and it's the back seat that I have open) but I suppose it's better than nothing. Also I'm just planning an up and back so if you have plans on staying in the area over night or anything like that you will have to find a different ride back. Please note that I would also be willing to stop and pick up someone that is on my way out if needed. Please just let me know. Generally we look to limit knife fights to one fight per fighter, though if there is something of special interest (e.g. 2x2) that is considered different.

Hopefully everyone's dance cards aren't filled yet, or there will be a few more late posters.

I'd like to pencil in a few fights in advance (knife, single, espada y daga, or double)... my last gathering was 2008, so it'll be nice to get the rust knocked off
