I have some interesting guard breaks that I think will work well with the running dog game. One ties in the Medfly a little.

A friend of mine runs grappling tournaments all of the time and used to run Pankration until the commission stepped in. He told me about CAMO and said what he has seen it looks good. You will have to register as an amateur with full physical and blood test. It will be all of the rules in MMA minus the knees and elbows to the head. I have no clue who the lawfrim is and what they have to do with it.

It was very interesting to have Mr. Johnson add to the class. He has a wealth on knowledge when it comes to wrestling and he still had an open mind to the new angles KT can bring. Looking forward to the camp.

Great day. It felt like all the fighters had each others back and there was very little ego. good fights, great learning opportunity, about as much fun as you can have while getting hit with a stick. :-D

Last class was very enlightening. It is good to see the material can adapt and evolve with other situation. Also you don't realize how much we have covered until you work with a person that does not know it.

Enlightening class as usual. Really enjoy employing the new angles, definitely not enjoying having them done to me .

Here is a question I would like help on.

What should a layperson have in their emergency kit? Being in martial arts are there other things that most kits don't have that would be beneficial to have on hand?

Just to throw another light on things. EMT students are scared into only using a tourniquet as an absolute last resort, I feel, because of the legal ramification. If a person loses a limb were direct pressure would have been effective, you have a messy law suit on your hands. So we are told to use very sparingly. Also we are told NEVER to release the tourniquet due to the fear of "Tourniquet  Shock". Where built up latic acid can effect the heart and kidneys resulting in possible death.

Kaju Dog knows what he is talking about and really understands the WIN approach (What is Important Now). Listen to his advice and get the person help ASAP. If you don't know what you are doing the longer your screwing around the less time that person has.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but this was new to me. It is a group of guys at a club called the barracuda. It was a good example of a smaller person using the element of surprise to drop a larger person. They use a strike to the neck with an elbow similar to the dogbrothers empty hand technique. Their fighting skills after the initial blow defiantly leaves something to be desired but if you knock out a person or even daze them you do not need to be a good fighter to hurt someone. It really comes down to knowing your environment and not being is that situation.
