Woof and thanks! Maybe this is the best place to provide a canonical spelling of my name. It's otherwise indecipherable, and I know my handwriting on the registration forms probably doesn't help. It's: Chhi'mèd Künzang.

Woof, Can anyone recommend a decent hotel near Gokor's gym?

I'm not letting you off that easy. The reason that I took a whole year was...well...I'm VERY analytical and somewhat a perfectionist, and!...the timing was such where,..that's when the next one came around. Unlike you, I had trained in other style of Kali before...I had picked up on many false perceptions of "the stick" and had to re-learn many things, which...at times, is much harder then to learn it fresh. I am still working towards understanding the stick and how it relates to the way "I" move. You picked up on it well and very fast! Work out some bugs and you're ready to go! After all, your opponents(female) are not the same is mine(also, not saying that they're not skilled) and the height differential will not be as extreme. You can do this!!!!!
Sooooo....if YOU needed a full year before being ready for the Gathering, I might have to wait until I am hundred years old before I would be ready.
Woof!! There's a semi challenge on the Dog Brothers facebook page to make this Gathering the largest yet (Registered fighters) So I'm encouraging everyone to get off the fence and step up to the plate and get into this most awesome event.
Trust me you will be glad you did!! Now lets flood Pretty Kitty with those forms (Legit forms)
WOOF!! Howling dog
Woof C-Mighty:I sent you a personal email @ Dogbrothers.com
So very glad to have you with us, and thanks for the use of your car for the anti-carjacking segment.
I feel blessed that I get to do what I do and to do it with the people with whom I do it.
The Adventure continues,
Crafty Dog
PS: I love that credo of "Small dog, big balls"
Yes. 09:45 will be fine.
Great presentation today by Damian on anti-carjacking. Tomorrow we go to FOF (pepper spray, shocknives, airsoft and other implements of fun & games) for the anti-carjacking segment. C-Mighty's car may never be the same
Poidog I will take it! I appreciate you folks spending some time on us newbies and look forward to the event!find someone who will fight with the knife as if it were a "real" knife. Most Dog Brothers are good at this, but some "newbies" might also. I was "new" and still am in comparison. But have always "respected" the blade. Simply start conversation about it, you can also set "rules" such as ....no going to the ground on a knife fight. Many new fights tend to Crash and then it becomes a wrestling match with whatever weapon they're fighting with, rather then test the weapon itself.
C-Mighty Dog told me to start with a knife fight to get my "nerves" in order, would you recommend I pick another newbie for this? Where am I likely to get the biggest benefit against a Dog Bro- single stick?
I am down for anything and looking to get the most out of this experience. I would like to bring my "chucks" but as a newbie I do not how realistic all of this is. I will probably get the crap kicked out of me in the first fight...
Gloves- I have full gauntlet motorcycle roadracing gloves that seem to have as much if not more protection than some of the gloves used at the event, are they acceptable?
