My journey in the martial arts started out with Aikido in 1991. By the time I received my 1st Dan in 1996, my interests had shifted into a more combative direction. A central part of this evolution was watching some tapes of the first Dog Brothers series. I was immediately hooked. So that year I began to study Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino Martial Arts, namely Inosanto blend and Pekiti Tirsia Kali. In 2004 for the first time I attended a workshop with Guro Marc “Crafty Dog” Denny. One year later, I got to know Guro Benjamin “Lonely Dog” Rittiner, who I consider my main teacher since 2006. In 2006 I also took part in the first European Gathering of the Pack. I finally became Full Dog Brother in 2013.
