Graeme “Scotty Dog” Higgins

Graeme has been studying the martial arts since aged 13, training in Judo, Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino Martial Arts, as part of a lifelong plan to become Batman.

Graeme started training with Dave Green in 1997, founding what was to evolve into the Glasgow Clan of Dog Brothers Scotland 2003 and was granted his Black Belt in the Filipino Martial Arts under Dave in May 2004.

He began training under Guro Marc ” Crafty Dog” Denny and Guro Benjamin Lonely Dog Rittiner in 2005 when he made his first trip to Bern to fight in the, then closed door, Euro Gathering. Since then he has fought in both Europe and the US on a number of occasions, became the first person in the UK to be both accepted into the Dog Brothers tribe and be allowed to teach DBMA, and in 2009 became the first full Dog Brother from the UK. After a 4 year Hiatus in which he completed his Undergraduate Degree in Technology and Education in 2012, he has now moved to Aberdeenshire, resumed his study of Judo and is actively involved the Aberdeen Clan. He has also reluctantly realized that he will never become Batman.”
