Guro, on the half beats, are you speeding up the six count on the half beat shots or adding a short shots in between the six count? Thank you for this info!
The six counts are counted as always with the rhythm as always.
The half beats are six additional movements, all of which are jabs (i.e. retracted.)
Thus, instead of
R
L
R
L
R
L
it becomes
R, left half beat jab
L right half beat jab
R etc
L etc
R etc
L etc
Does this help?
Absolutely perfect! I just haven’t picked up the visual acuity for Kali that well yet I couldn’t figure it out. This info is pretty revelational to me. Thanks again for the quick response! Love the content.
You are not alone!
The “visual acuity” thing takes time to develop. In the early days of my instructional DVDs my editor could not understand why I was always insisting on really slow slo-mo.
This was a some of what we covered in Crafty’s Zoom class today. Great lesson, I learn something new each week, even as a Black Tag Instructor.
